Terms of Service.
The basics for using the OwnFeed developer preview and understanding what to expect from it.
Developer preview. These terms describe the current preview. Hosted subscriptions, cancellation and refund procedures, and the public launch terms are still being prepared and will be finalized before paid service is offered.
The preview
OwnFeed is a browser extension designed to help you shape your YouTube experience by hiding selected content, filtering recommendations, and adjusting parts of the page. Features are under development and may change, be interrupted, or produce mistakes.
The website contains an illustrative demonstration; it is not connected to your actual YouTube feed. Information about how the extension handles data is in the Privacy Policy.
Using OwnFeed
You are responsible for the topics and settings you choose and for how you use the extension. Do not use OwnFeed to interfere with other users or systems, bypass access controls, or use the service in violation of applicable law or third-party terms.
Filtering is not guaranteed to be complete or accurate. A video may be hidden or shown incorrectly, and changes to YouTube or a service provider may affect compatibility. You can change settings or stop using the extension.
Accounts and access
Layout controls and manual channel blocking can be used without signing in. Hosted AI filtering is intended to require an account and active Pro access when that service becomes available. You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and using it appropriately.
Local developer testing uses a backend you configure and may require your own provider credentials. Keep those credentials private. Local testing is separate from hosted Pro access.
Pricing and billing
The Free controls are listed on the pricing section. The displayed Pro price of $4.99 per month is planned, not a current offer; it may change. Hosted checkout and paid subscriptions are not available in this preview.
Before paid service launches, the applicable price, billing interval, payment provider, cancellation process, and refund policy need to be finalized and made available to customers. No payment is collected through this website.
Third-party services
OwnFeed is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google. YouTube, Google Chrome, TypeSafe, and other providers operate their own services and may apply their own terms and policies. If payment functionality is enabled later, the payment provider’s terms may also apply.
Availability and changes
The preview is provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular filtering result, or compatibility with every browser or YouTube layout. Features, limits, and these terms may change as the product develops; the date above will be updated when this page changes.
